Blessed in Our Sharing: Teams and Committees

The Worship Committee works with the pastor to plan and shape the worship life of the congregation. In addition to planning for major services like Easter and Christmas, the committee coordinates and supports the church music program, ushers, greeters, acolytes and communion assistants.

The Caring and Sharing Team plans and coordinates many of the helping and fellowship events for the congregation. From the Thanksgiving Dinner to the St. Michael's Booth at the Price's Fork Fair, the Caring and Sharing Team makes God's word known in our congregation and in the community.

The Education Team will meet two or three times during the year to plan for Sunday School and Vacation Bible School and to look for additional educational opportunities for the congregation.

The Support Team promotes an understanding of congregational stewardship by encouraging people to use their time, talents and resources in God's service. The team also seeks ways to thank people for their ministry in the congregation and community.

The Property Team works with our custodian and volunteers to maintain the interior and exterior of the building and develops plans for the ongoing upgrade and maintenance of our facility.

The Finance Team works with the Congregational Council to oversee the financial administration and planning of the church.

The Memorial Fund Team prepares a list of needed or desired memorial gift opportunities and works with the family to select appropriate memorial gifts .

The Scholarship Team reviews the applications and awards the St. Michael Scholarship each year. A new member is rotated onto the three person team each year.
